Capturing a scene on the walk from Hunstanton to Heacham, this piece was painted from a photo I took last year. I was stood on a deep curve on the beachfront, and thought that a panoramic, or fish eye perspective would really make the scene pop. So, here we are.

The main focus on this has been the perspective and ensuring that depth can be captured, especially on the beachwalk.

The secondary priority for myself was the variety of mark making on the sand. As a beach with a gorgeous variety of sand, pebbles, shells… it felt essential to try and emulate that variety in colour, texture and shade.

Fully varnished and all edges painted – framing not essential and this will still hold its own on the wall!
